In a different universe (read: a false one created by the Malnosso), most of the Heroes were killed by Rotwang's H-01 androids. Pao-Lin, however, miraculously escaped this fate, instead being put into a coma for four years. Upon awakening, she swore to do whatever it took to take down Maverick, Rotwang, and the rest of HeroTV in order to avenge her Hero friends. Nothing else matters to her until that is accomplished.
